HATARI SAFARI Saturday September 19th

Join us for our annual Fundraiser Dinner Event & Charity Auction! For 2015 we’re shaking up our Gala theme & going out into the field to fund raise so we can make Learning a Lifelong Adventure!

2pm-5pm Afternoon Family Event: $20 per family/carload
For the first time, the museum is adding a Family Fun Component to this annual Fundraising Event!  From 2-5pm, join us for vintage fun and games like archery, scavenger hunting on one mile trail, a “fishing” derby, bobbing for apples, three-legged races, wheelbarrow races, stick horse races, a fire pit with S’mores, clay shooting, and more!

6:30pm- 9pm Evening Dinner Event: $40 ($45 after August 31)
Evening Schedule 
6:30 pm – Social Hour-Mix, Mingle & bid on Adventure Auction Items…every dollar raised at our Charity Auction means one student tours the museum for FREE!
7:00 pm – Dinner: Whole Hog Roast!
 7:45 pm – Silent Adventure Auction Ends
 7:45 pm – Entertainment: Teddy Pruitt & Kim Rice, the winners of 2015’s Trip for Two to Africa, will show photos from, and regale the crowd with, tales of retracing the footsteps of Martin and Osa Johnson on an actual African Safari!  Highlights of the trip that will be covered include three days on the Serengeti and having lunch at Momella Lodge, the site used to film John Wayne’s African epic film, HATARI!
