FEATURE FILM
A
trip up the Nile from 1927 to 1928 with friend and supporter George Eastman
(of Eastman-Kodak fame) and watching the adventures of three American Boy
Scouts on safari highlight this documentary from Martin and Osa's Johnsons'
third African expedition. This film is a “silent with sound”
transition.
Scenes in the field are silent, but the opening, a cocktail party
“home movie” premiere, has sound and was shot in Martin and Osa’s New
York City apartment.
