How do you conduct a responsible paranormal investigation and remain respectful of the people involved both living and deceased? The Safari Museum has played host to several paranormal investigation (PI) events by professional groups at both the Santa Fe Depot and at the museum’s original location on Grant Avenue and there is always natural curiosity of how such events are handled. On Saturday, April 30th, Dusk 2 Dawn Paranormal Investigations of Independence, MO will conduct a Public Investigation at both the Safari Museum and the Chanute Historical Society located next to our facility.
Founded in 2010 by Team Leader Jimmie McVey, Dusk2Dawn investigators never charge for private service and they are very discreet, and will only release findings if the clients grant permission. The team do conduct ticketed fundraisers to help charity and non-profit organizations like the Safari Museum and this is the first public fundraising event they are hosting in Chanute on April 30. A portion of the ticket revenue will be donated to both non-profit museums.
Whether you are a skeptic or a believer, these events are always educational, engaging and anything that helps to maintain Chanute’s historic Santa Fe Depot, as well as our original museum building site at the former Santa Fe Freight Office, is a benefit to our community.
